A fantastic role for an Assistant General Manager has become available to work for Cocktail Embassy in Crystal Palace
We are looking for either a person in a similar position looking for a new challenge or for an experienced Bar Supervisor looking for their next role. The person will take control of the venue under the supervision of the General Manager.
Salary & Benefits
- £26,000 per annum base salary
- £4,000 annual bonus
- 45 hours a week shift work - Majority of all shifts start at 4pm, with the exception of one day shift, while the bar is closed)

- Opportunity to influence the direction of the bar, creating new menus and suggesting new ideas to the owners.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
As the Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the buzzing venue, as well as focusing on the development and training of the bar staff. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the bar, alongside motivating the team and using your creative skills and cocktail knowledge to deliver inspiring menus, working together with the General Manager. This would be an ideal position for someone with great passion for drinks, cocktails and the industry in general as this is a hands-on role where you will be required to work behind the bar as well as performing back of house managerial duties.
- Training and development of the Bar staff
- Managing the bar team to facilitate exceptional guest service
- Possessing good knowledge of cocktails and latest drink trends
- Cashing-up
- Stock-taking and ordering
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness within the bar
- Working alongside the owners on creating new menus
- Confidently handling guest complaints
The Successful Candidate will display:
- Excellent management skills
- Customer service experience gained in a busy bar / nightclub environment
- Good cocktail and spirit knowledge
- Personal Licence
- Punctuality
Qualifications / Experience:
- Supervising experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Bar management: 1 year (preferred)
- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
