Studio Spaces is a multiple use venue based in a former warehouse in Wapping. Our studios are used for film and tv productions, fashion/editorial and commercial photography. Our versatile space also hosts large capacity on-trend conferences, seminars and summits; training events; product launches; experiential & immersive events; gala dinners; weddings and private parties. The company also incorporates E1 nightclub with state-of-the-art sound and production facilities. E1’s flexible 24-hour license means it holds a diverse and wide-ranging portfolio of music events.

Job description

To provide support to the Accounts Team in respect of all aspects of the financial performance of the business. Ensuring that we have in place effective financial management processes to drive profit maximisation, stock/cash control and cost saving efficiencies.


- Compile a weekly trading review pack detailing weekly performance

- Manage a weekly payment sheet/payment runs/generating proof of payments

- Review P&L for internal shows and liaise with the Booking Department to control costs

- Ensure that a monthly P&L and financial review is held with each of the Department Managers

- Review and report on all stock figures including waste, discounts, voids, etc.

- Undertake a balance sheet reconciliation for accruals and prepayments quarterly etc.

- Chase all debit balances in the vendor accounts

- Undertake bi-weekly reviews of aged creditors, reporting on and providing commentary on all aged creditors to the Directors

- Provide information when requested on the monthly accounts plan vs actual deviation

- Purchase/Sales Ledger invoicing

- Petty cash/credit card expenses reconciliation

- Maintain and review the fixed assets register

- Check all VAT returns on a quarterly basis ad identify anomalies and fix any errors

Required skills:

- Solid knowledge of standard accountancy and finance best practices

- Solid IT skills, including proficiency in the relevant accounting packages

- Good analytical skills to effectively analyse financial reports

- In-depth knowledge of budgeting and financial forecasting-

AAT part or fully qualified

Office based

Part-time (Mon-Wed) 24 hrs per week
