Full Job Description – Venue Supervisor

We are a 18+ venue. Applicants under 18 will not be considered.

Purpose
We’re on the lookout for an energetic new team member to join us at The Steel Yard A Venue Supervisor is responsible for assisting with all venue operations requested by the managers on duty. This includes ensuring high-level customer service, measuring health and safety procedures, supervise and help co-workers when necessary.
The venue supervisor will oversee the team during the shift, lead and clarify the tasks in order to help to deliver a better service.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with day to day managing of the bar and venue to ensure the agreed operational and
service standards are met and maintained.
• Assist with the management of the stock, ordering, stock rotation and the monthly stock takes.
• Responsible for bar cleanliness, bar maintenance, safety standards and ensuring all legal licensing requirements are met.
• Assist with jobs around the venue
• Assist with the induction and training of the bar team.
• Ensuring efficient delivery of any other tasks reasonably requested by mangers on duty.
• Ensure the staff has the right uniform and it is clean well presented.
• Communicate and delegate tasks to the team.
• Deputise mangers in their absence.

Essential

• Experienced of operating bars including opening and closing.
• Experience of working at a supervisor level and managing a team
• The capability to meet scheduling demands of the position, working nights, weekends and holidays.
• A good level of written and spoken English.
• Excellent communicator, both verbal and written. Can deal with minor complaints where appropriate and refer these to the Bar Manager / Duty Manager.
• Ability to work under pressure alone and as a team player.
• Great attention to detail.

• A friendly and approachable attitude with great customer service skills.
• Calm under pressure and a positive attitude at all the times.
• Proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Personal License preferred but not required.

Perm – 35 hours plus overtime

Pay rate: From £12.50 an hour
