Role: IT Support Engineer
Reports into: Head of IT
Location: London
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent, 42.5 hours per week

Our team:

The IT Team works alongside the Group Director of Business & Operations, acting as a key central support function for the wider business. We support and roll out key IT systems and initiatives in addition to looking forward and planning how we can shape the future of the business.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer who will work with the Head of IT and Office Coordinator to meet the daily and overall needs of the company. This is a fast-paced role for someone who can expand on their existing extensive knowledge across all technologies without limits.

You will be based at the Head Office in Canary Wharf, but there will be requirements to visit and work in our variety of venues as required, which are based across London and other cities in the UK.

The full-time IT department is still small and in its infancy, so there is lots of room for growth and development, as the plan for business is to move into a period of accelerated growth, which will be mirrored in departments.

 

What you’ll be responsible for:

Technical Support

  • Daily technical support across our main and regional (small venue) offices.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Mac and Windows devices and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, guides, and knowledge base articles for IT-related processes and procedures across the group.
  • Proficiently manage and administer user accounts, permissions, and security settings within the Microsoft 365 environment.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing security measures and protocols to safeguard company data and systems.
  • Maintaining and continual improvement of IT infrastructure, processes, and services.
  • Support with domain name system (DNS) configurations, ensuring proper resolution and connectivity.
  • Support with website management, including domain registrations, hosting, and content updates.
  • Collaborate with web developers, marketing teams or external vendors to maintain website functionality and optimise user experience.
  • Present new ideas and technologies to the Head of IT.
  • Printer and MF Copier support and troubleshooting.
  • Using our company MDM platform, Kandji to secure and maintain our fleet of Apple devices.
  • Procurement of all IT equipment including laptops, mice, keyboard etc.
  • All other ad hoc duties.

  • Communicating your training needs and actively participating in your own development in line with the line manager’s expectations.

Other

  • Carrying out ad hoc duties when required to.

 

You’ll need to have:

  • Proven self-starter & excellent organisational mentality.
  • Extensive IT knowledge & experience based around IOS systems & Apple products (PCs and Windows is still utilised by finance team).
  • Experience with hardware and software support on PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.
  • Experience in the support and implementation of antivirus and security products.
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, video conferencing, and remote access technologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining a high attention to detail.
  • Keen interest in technology as well as a desire to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven record of commitment, competency, and self-motivation with strong time management and flexibility.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become skilled in new technologies.
